This blog discusses the number systems and codes included in the PY1644 course in semester 6 of cbcss physics in Kerala University as per 2018 revision in syllabus.

Positional and non positional number systems including decimal, binary, octal and hexadecimal numbers systems are discussed. 

Conversion among number systems, binary addition, subtraction, multiplication and division are covered.

Subtraction using 1's complement, 2's complement are discussed comprehensively.

Codes such as BCD, excess-3 codes and Gray codes have been discussed.
